WHO MAKES UP THE CLASS? PUTTING YOURSELF OR CHILD IN THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT
Find out the kinds of students in your self defense class. Look for street fighting classes that are composed of students of the same age, skill, gender (if needed). This way, you know that you will be at ease with the pace of the class, how the class is taught and what is covered. Ask other students who are already in the class. Ask the school to give you a list of references so that you will get a general idea of how your chosen martial arts school deals with its students.
