Day 1

Session 1

Equipment needed: Gloves, heavy bag and striking pad

Session 2

Equipment needed: Gloves, shin pads, heavy bag and striking pad.

 

KB 2-5: Learn about kick boxing range, Interceptions and the eye jab. Log in several dozen reps with the eye jab bag drill.

KB 14-18: Learn about the entry and straight blast, using several drills to prefect your technique.
 

KB 6-7: Learn about the groin kick, and log in several dozen reps with the eye jab bag drill.

KB 19-21: Learn about the destruction, and feeder drill to make it alive.

 

KB 8-10: Complete several dozen rounds of the eye jab and groin kick on the bag, and the same with the pad drill.

KB 22-23: Transition from the feeder drill to sparring using only these tools.

 

KB 11-12: Work with the feeder drill, giving ample time to learn how to move and strike.

 
 

KB 13: Spar using these two tools.

 

Day 2

Session 3

Equipment needed: Gloves, shin pads, heavy bag and striking pad.

Session 4

Equipment needed: Gloves, training knife and training stick.

 

KB 24-26: Learn about faking, repping out with the bag drill.

W 2-3: Learn about weapons defense and weapon vs. empty hand situations.

 

KB 27-28: Continue to work with the fakes, with the feeder and sparring drills.

W 4-6: Put some serious time in on knife tapping.

 

KB 29: Review the range blend drill within the kick boxing cycle, in order to practice this cycle’s curriculum.

W 7-8: Work with the feeder drills with knives and sticks.

 

 

W 9: Focus on knife sparring.

Day 2

Session 5

Equipment needed: Gloves, training knife and training stick.

 

 

W 10-12: Find out how to deal with a weapon on weapon fight, and a drill called carrenza.

 
 

W 13-14: Put in sometime with the knife feeder drill.

 

 

W 15: Knife spar!

 

 

W 16-17: Now do the same with sticks.

 
 

W 18-19: Build out your stick skills.

 
 

W 20: Stick spar!

 

Day 3

Session 6

Equipment needed: Gloves, shin pads, heavy bag and striking pad.

 
 

Equipment needed: Gloves, training gun, training knife and training stick.

 

 

W 21: Introduction to firearms defense.

 

 

W 22-23: Learn about the disarms.

 

 

W 24: Review the range blend drill within the weapons cycle, in order to practice this cycle’s curriculum.

 

Day 4

Session 8

Equipment needed: Matted/soft surface.

 

GF 2: Learn about ground fighting.

GF 10-12: Learn two easy takedowns.

 

GF 3: Learn about escape tools.

GF 13-14: Practice your takedowns more.

 

GF 3: Learn about escape tools.

 

 

GF 4: Learn how to use the escape tools within the sumbrada drill.

 
 

GF 5-6: Work with escape tools within the feeder drill and sparring.

 
  GF 7-9: Fine tune your ground skills with positioning work.  

Day 5

Session 9

Equipment needed: Matted/soft surface.

Session 10

Equipment needed: Striking pad.

 

GF 15: Learn about submissions and strikes.

CQMA 2: Learn about the two ranges of close quarters and mass attack.

 

GF 16: Focus on chokes.

CQMA 3-5: Practice the close quarter tools with the bag drill.

 

GF 17-19: Work in submissions and strikes into sumbrada.

CQMA 6: Practice them with pads.

 

GF 20: Learn a new drill called “I tap you tap”.

CQMA 7-8: Use the tools in the clinch and sparring drills.

 

GF 21: Spar with submissions and strikes.

 

Day 6

Session 11

Equipment needed: Gloves and striking pads.

Session 12

Equipment needed: Gloves.

 

CQMA 9-10: Learn the basics of mass attack with zoning.

CQMA 16-18: Log in more reps with the continuous drill.

 

CQMA 11-13: Throw in “energies” in the mass attack drills.

CQMA 19-20: Up the intensity with 3 on 1 drills.

 

CQMA 14-15: Find out what “footwork” means in mass attack.

CQMA 21-23: Focus on follow ups.

Day 7

Session 13

Equipment needed: Gloves, shin pads, training knife, training stick, training gun, matted/soft surface.

Session 14

Equipment needed: Gloves, shin pads, training knife, training stick, training gun, matted/soft surface.

 

KB 29: Review the range blend drill within the kick boxing cycle, in order to practice this cycle’s curriculum.

W 24: Review the range blend drill within the weapons cycle, in order to practice this cycle’s curriculum.

 

KB 30-31: Mix in the “essential moves” from the other ranges with all of the kick boxing tools (i.e. expansion tools).

W 25-26: Mix in the “essential moves” from the other ranges with all of the weapons’ strategies (i.e. expansion tools).

Day 8

Session 15

Equipment needed: Gloves, shin pads, training knife, training stick, training gun, matted/soft surface.

Session 16

Equipment needed: Gloves, shin pads, training knife, training stick, training gun, matted/soft surface.

 

GF 3, 10-12, 15: Review the basics within this ground cycle, in order to practice this cycle’s curriculum.

CQMA 7-8, 21-23: Review the fundamentals of this cycle, in order to practice this cycle’s curriculum.

 

W 25-26: Mix in the “essential moves” from the other ranges with all of the ground fighting moves (i.e. expansion tools).

CQMA 24-25: Mix in the “essential moves” from the other ranges with all of the close quarters and mass attack situations (i.e. expansion tools).
